Trup is a pseudo-acronym based on the expression Trickle Up. Conceptually, Trickle Up is similar to Ronald Reagan’s ‘Trickle Down’ economics. Trickle Up, however, dictates that the resources go the opposite direction--starting at the education level and working their way up.
Currently many inner-city kids don’t get a shot at life because they are relegated to attending sub-standard public schools in their neighborhoods. Trup’s first order of business is to assist these kids in getting access to educational basics. We’re talking shoes, backpacks, and other necessities that many of us take for granted. We also want to show these kids that people do care about their well-being and want to see them succeed.
Trup will sponsor a variety of interesting fundraisers with the above goals in mind. Someday, however, Trup would like to assist school-kids in getting scholarships at private institutions so they can have a much better chance at graduating from high school and getting into college.
In this space we want to include a biography of a school-kid who could benefit from Trup’s efforts. If anyone knows of any candidate in need, please contact us at email@example.com.
